Biggin Hill Airfield is Close and Convenient
Biggin Hill Airfield is an international airport located in Kent, and is approximately 12 miles to the southeast of Central London. Its specialty is business travel and accommodates airplanes up to the size of a Boeing 737 or Airbus 320. Biggin Hill boasts that it is one of the most convenient airports to central London, with the shortest travel time based on Trafficmaster surveys. Getting to and from central London from Biggin Hill is fairly straightforward. For those travelling by car, the airport is located about 15 minutes from Junction 4 of the M25 motorway. Something quite nice about Biggin Hill Airport is that unlike most other airports, parking is free. They have a lot that can accommodate up to 100 cars located close to the terminal. The lot is well-lit and frequently patrolled by airport security. You can expect travel time to central London by car to be about 40 to 60 minutes from Biggin Hill, and be sure to remember that the Congestion Charge is in effect for all cars entering central London on weekdays between 7AM and 6:30 PM. There are several options for public transportation to and from the airport as well. The Bromley South Train Station is about 10 minutes away; you can either take a bus or a taxi from the airport to the train station. Once there, there are trains that leave quite regularly for central London. It will take about 15 minutes to travel to Victoria Station in London from the Bromley Station. From Victoria Station, you can pick up another train or get on The Tube to get to your final location in the city. For those who would like even faster transport, Biggin Hill Airport also offers a helicopter service. This flight will take you from Biggin Hill to London Heliport in Battersea in 5 minutes, close to many central London locations. The airport also has a resident limousine service for those who wish to travel in style.
