Camden Passage
- Antiques of Every Description

Camden Passage is an antiques market located in Islington. It resides down a pedestrian passageway off Islington High Street that leads to Islington Green.

Camden Passage

The passage was built as an alley for the houses on Upper Street back in 1767, and the market was established there in 1960.

It has become a world famous venue for antique dealers and aficionados, and collectors, interior designers, and decorators flock there week after week looking for that special something. The market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays.

As one might expect with such a large collection of dealers, competition can be stiff. Prices might seem high, but you can be sure that they will most likely be in line with competing vendors.

Feel free to haggle, these dealers are usually open to negotiation when it comes to prices. Be aware that this is no flea market; these are for the most part professional antiques dealers specialising in a variety of goods.

If you have questions about any aspect of a particular collectible, you are likely to find someone here that can help. You might not stumble across a priceless collectible at a jumble sale price, but you might just find that extremely rare piece you have been dreaming about to complete your own collection.

Vendors at the market specialise in dolls and toys, oriental goods, and glassware of every sort. There are an impressive array of furniture dealers covering virtually every epoch.

Vintage clothing and jewellery are in abundance, as are ceramic collectibles and silver and silver plate. There is a dealer in Military collectibles for those of a martial mind.

For those who love music, there is a dealer who carries music boxes and mechanical singing birds, as well as one who handles nothing but jukeboxes. You will see things here that you have perhaps only read about in books or seen in movies, the breadth and depth of the dealer offerings are just that amazing.

This collection of market stalls should be on the must see list for any visitor who loves antiques.
