Gatwick Airport Transportation

Gatwick Airport transportation has something to suit almost everyone.

Travel to and from Gatwick Airport by car is simple enough; it is linked to the M23 at Junction 9 and also to the A23 London-Brighton Road.

The airport is a 10 minute drive from Junction 7 of the M25 motorway, as well.

The estimated drive time to central London from Gatwick is 60 to 75 minutes, and be aware that the Congestion Charge is in effect weekdays from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Travel between Gatwick Airport and London by car can also be done via private transfer services.

The driver will meet your flight at arrivals with a personalized sign, assist you with luggage, and get you straight to your destination with a minimum of fuss.

These services are often less expensive than a similar taxi ride, but must be booked in advance of your arrival.

Taxi service at Gatwick is provided by Checker Cars, and you can also book a taxi in advance so they will be waiting for your flight and you can avoid the long taxi queues that sometimes crop up outside the terminals.

There is bus service between Gatwick and central London as well.

National Express runs a frequent service between Gatwick and Victoria Station with a travel time of about 85 minutes.

There is an easyBus service that runs every 15 minutes between Gatwick North Terminal and Fulham Broadway Underground during the peak transportation hours.

Train service runs from Gatwick straight to Victoria Station in central London.

The Gatwick Express runs seven days a week, with a train leaving every 15 minutes from about 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

The trip takes approximately 30 minutes, or 35 minutes on Sundays.

First Capital Connect, Southern, and First Great Western also run trains from Gatwick into various locations in London, the travel time is a bit longer and the services are not as frequent.
