Horse Riding in London - Take a Hack
Horse Riding in London is available at several locations. Hyde Park, and Rotten Row in particular, has been a popular place to go horse riding for over 300 years now.

There are 5 miles of bridle paths that wind through the park near the Serpentine Lake, and it truly must be one of the most beautiful places to ride in the city. At Hyde Park Stables, most lessons start by riding through the park. The stables offer instruction for all skill levels and riders are always accompanied by an escort. The horses at Hyde Park Stables are calm, well-mannered, and patient with beginners. Instructors here are similarly experienced with learners, and will cheerfully take even the most novice equestrian through the paces. Wimbledon Village Stables is a nice place to go horse riding. There are over 3000 acres of trails and open space at nearby Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park for rides. Riders can sign up for one hour hacks, or rides, and they also have one hour training hacks where you learn the basics of horse riding on the go. Experienced riders can take escorted hacks on nearby trails, and your riding gear can be borrowed from the stables. The horses at Wimbledon Village Stables are extremely well-tended and friendly; they even get several weeks vacation throughout the year at an idyllic horse farm in Surrey. Ridgway Stables in Wimbledon is another excellent place for horse riding, they offer a “Learn to Ride in a Day” program that runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM where you spend the day learning at your own pace with a dedicated instructor, and all of your equipment, lunch, and refreshments are provided. Ridgway Stables specialises in teaching children to ride. They have ponies in their stables that are trained to be calm and tolerant around children, and the stables will provide instruction to children as young as age 4. Horse Riding is an enjoyable way to get some fresh air and enjoy the urban wilderness.
