London Heathrow to London Gatwick is a trip that cannot be made by direct rail or Tube routes because they are not on any routes which connect.

However, there are several other options you can choose when going from Heathrow to Gatwick.

National Express runs a direct coach service from Heathrow to Gatwick.

This bus departs from the front of the terminals and runs about 6 times an hour.

You can purchase tickets for this prior to your trip, from the ticket desk, or even from the driver.

The trip from Heathrow to Gatwick usually takes about 75 minutes, but heavy traffic can make this a longer trip.

Another option when travelling from Heathrow to Gatwick would be to take a taxi.

Taxi stands are located outside the terminals, and you can just walk up and book your cab.

If you’d like to avoid the inevitable queues, book your trip in advance with London Black Cabs.

Be advised that 48 hours notice is required for airport transfers.

By booking in advance, you are assured that the reservation staff will monitor your flight arrival time so you do not have to worry about arriving late.

Your driver will be waiting to meet you as you come out of customs and will assist you with your luggage on the way to the cab.

The travel time by taxi from Heathrow to Gatwick should be about 60 minutes.

If you are determined to make the connection by rail, you can take the Heathrow Express train which will take you to London Paddington in about 20 minutes, these trains leave from the terminals about every 15 minutes.

Once at Paddington, you can travel to Victoria Station by bus, taxi, or London Underground.

At Victoria Station you then board the Gatwick Express which runs from Victoria Station to Gatwick every 15 minutes; this trip will take you about 30 minutes.

London Heathrow to London Gatwick isn’t the easiest connection to make, but there are several good options available to those who need to make this trip.
