Palm Court Reviews
– A Lavish Place for Tea

Palm Court Reviews

Palm Court reviews are universally positive for their afternoon teas.

Located in The Langham in the heart of the West End, afternoon tea has been served here since 1865. Just steps from bustling Oxford Street, the Palm Court is like another world altogether. The peace and quiet they provide is a welcome change from the busy world rushing by outside.

The seating is plush velvet with rich reds and purples and a dazzling crystal chandelier overhead. The attention to detail is overwhelming and each visitor is made to feel part of a very special event.

There are several types of set teas available at Palm Court.

The Wonderland Afternoon Tea comes with your choice of over 30 types of tea ranging from the classic standbys to the more exotic such as Tregothnan Earl Grey.

Some of the more exotic teas come with a premium cost however; the Silver Needle Yellow Tea will add £40 a pot to your tab.

Finger sandwiches are served along with a selection of scones with Devonshire cream and organic strawberry preserves.

The pastries are quite special and include things like miniature éclairs, Sachertorte, and passion fruit Pavlovas.

The Bijoux Tea has a somewhat fancier selection of sandwiches, including some with caviar, and the pastries and cakes are lovely little gem-like confections inspired by some of the world’s most famous jewels.

The Palm Court also has a High Tea which is only served in the early evening. The High Tea includes finger sandwiches and a heartier savoury choice of Croque Madame with Chicken or an Omelette Arnold Bennett. Scrumptious toasted crumpets are also served with High Tea.

Another interesting tea served at the Palm Court is the G & Tea Time or Beefeater 24 Afternoon Tea, which is billed as a pick me up for weary shoppers. The tea served is a special blend made using the same botanicals used in Beefeater Gin and a Gin and Tonic is also provided.

Palm Court reviews call it one of the finest places for afternoon tea in London.
